Great instruction, with lots of one on one coaching. The practice is great for fitness, coordination and being present in the body. Stefan generates a respectful, challenging and fun atmosphere in class.

I was surprised at how much individual attention I received when training online with Sensei Barton! Even though I'm using a mobile phone, he's able to observe and correct my movements, stance, and timing. I also appreciate that he is very cognizant of my time; he really packs in instruction and gives the student plenty to work with on his own. I highly recommend his focused, yet friendly, style of instruction.

If there has been one thing positive to come out of the lock-down, it has been to begin training kali online with Stefan Barton.  It would have never occurred to me to do so before but I now feel very fortunate to be able to learn from a world champion who is 2000 miles away from me.  In some ways, I feel like I am able to get more personalized instruction than an in-person physical class b/c the zoom classes are limited to a small number of participants.  I have been surprised at how well the online format with Stefan can reveal problems with my form, speed, foot work and even hand orientation.  I cannot recommend this highly enough!
